I am completely new. How do I buy my first crypto on Usko?

Accepted Answer

Five steps, and you do not need to own crypto anywhere else first. Create an account with your email address. It is free. Verify your identity. Level 1 and Level 2 are both live. Each application is reviewed by a person on our team, so allow a little time. You cannot trade until this is approved. Open the P2P marketplace and pick a seller. Look at their price, their minimum and maximum, their completed-trade count and their rating, and check they accept a payment method you use. Start the trade and pay. The seller's crypto is locked in Usko escrow the moment the trade opens. Pay them directly &mdash; Wise, PayPal, Revolut, SEPA, Skrill, Remitly, a bank transfer, cash in person, or, in India, UPI and IMPS/NEFT/RTGS. Then mark the payment as sent. Never mark it sent before you have actually paid. Receive. When the seller confirms the money has arrived, the escrow releases into your Usko account. If they do not respond, raise a dispute and a moderator steps in. There is no maker or taker fee on P2P at the moment. From there you can trade any of the 395 markets, swap with Convert, start a recurring SIP, or put the balance into Earn. One thing to know before you start: sending crypto in from an outside wallet, withdrawing crypto on-chain, and automatic fiat deposits and withdrawals are all not switched on yet . P2P is how value moves in and out of Usko today.

That is the whole product: fixed win, fixed loss, decided by the clock. There is nothing to manage after you place the order. A crypto loan lets you borrow stablecoin without selling your crypto. You lock some of your crypto as collateral , and Usko credits the borrowed amount to your wallet instantly. Open the Loans section and pick a loan product. The card shows the interest rate and borrowing limits. Choose how much collateral to lock and how much to borrow. Confirm — the borrowed amount arrives in your wallet immediately. Repay whenever you like (partial repayments are fine; interest is paid first). When the loan is fully repaid your collateral is unlocked automatically. Interest accrues over time at the rate shown on the product. There is no credit check and no paperwork — the collateral is the guarantee.

When the price crosses your level, you get a notification and the alert is marked as fired. Alerts fire once and can be recreated in a couple of taps. You can keep a good number of alerts active at the same time — the alerts page shows your active list and lets you delete any of them.

Touch / No Touch — will the price touch a target level at any point before the timer ends, or never touch it? Call / Put — a classic option-style bet on the direction of the price at expiry. Turbo — very short, fast-paced orders for experienced users. The payout percentage differs by type and duration and is always shown on the ticket before you confirm.

What does APR mean?

APR stands for Annual Percentage Rate — the reward rate expressed as if you kept the money in for a full year. Example: an APR of 10% on 1,000 USDT would earn about 100 USDT over a whole year. Two things to remember: APR is a current rate, not a promise — it can change while you are subscribed, and the product card always shows the live value. APR does not protect you from price moves. Earning rewards on a coin whose price falls can still leave you with less overall value.

LTV (loan-to-value) is the size of your loan compared to the value of your collateral. Borrow 50 worth of stablecoin against 100 worth of BTC and your LTV is 50%. Because crypto prices move, your LTV changes constantly. If your collateral falls in value, your LTV rises. Every loan product has a liquidation threshold — if your LTV crosses it, the collateral is sold automatically to repay the debt. That is liquidation , and it means losing the collateral. How to stay safe: Borrow well below the maximum allowed, so you have a buffer. Watch your loan position — the current LTV and the liquidation level are shown on it at all times. Dual Investment is a short-term product where you commit one coin and, depending on where the price ends up on the settlement date, you are paid back in one of two currencies — always with a yield on top. Sell High: you deposit a coin like BTC with a target price. If the price finishes at or above the target, your BTC is sold at that target (you sold high) and you receive the value in stablecoin, plus yield. If not, you keep your BTC, plus yield. Buy Low: you deposit stablecoin with a target price. If the price finishes at or below the target, it is used to buy the coin at that target (you bought low), plus yield. If not, you keep your stablecoin, plus yield. You always earn the yield — what varies is which currency you end up holding. Only use it with a pair you would be happy to hold either side of. The target price, yield and settlement date are all shown on the product before you subscribe, and your funds are locked until settlement.

That is why you will not see us claim &ldquo;cold storage&rdquo;. When on-chain transfers go live we will publish exactly how those keys are held before we ask anyone to use them.
